Scope

The rule applies when a change in manufacturing may affect properties that have already been tested and approved.

Lead time

A new full inspection normally takes five weeks from the time the change has been approved.

The time cannot be shortened without the customer’s written approval that fewer tests are carried out.

Exceptions

An exemption from full requalification may be granted in an individual case after a joint decision by the Quality Manager and the customer. The exemption applies only to the product configuration and occasion covered by the decision.
