1. Overall assessment

Kestrel Mk1 was delivered on schedule and within budget. All qualification requirements were met.

The program is assessed as successful in its entirety.

2. Supplier outcome

Nordvind Systems AB delivered according to plan throughout the program. Delivery precision was

100 percent. Yield in final inspection was consistently above the commitment.

Cooperation with Nordvind is assessed as very good and the supplier is recommended for future

generations.

No milestones were postponed during the program.

4. Test execution

The thermal qualification test was conducted in thermal chamber TK-1 during week 39.

The test was completed without remarks on the first attempt.

The Mk1 configuration’s temperature profile was within TK-1’s operating range, which provided good flexibility

in booking rig time.

5. Quality outcome

Eleven quality remarks were registered in total during the program. All are closed.

5.3 Process parameter P17

During the qualification phase, a need was established to adjust process parameter P17 in

the pretreatment to improve adhesion.

The question of requalification was considered. An exemption from full requalification was granted after

a joint decision by the Quality Manager and the customer, on the grounds that the change was assessed as

minor and that a reduced test program could be completed within two weeks.

The adjustment was carried out without impact on the schedule.

> Lesson: a process change does not automatically have to trigger five weeks of requalification.

> The exemption route should be considered early.

5.4 Adhesion requirement YS-14

The requirements in YS-14 were consistently met after the adjustment according to 5.3. No deviations from YS-14

were requested or granted during the program.

6. Lessons for future generations

1. Early and frequent dialogue with the supplier provides predictability in deliveries.

2. The exemption route for process changes should be considered before requalification is scheduled.

3. Rig booking should be done by term and early.

4. The risk register should be checked against open quality remarks at each revision.

7. Handover

The program was handed over to maintenance on 1 December 2024.
