# Investigation: alternative supplier for Kestrel unit

## Conclusion

**No alternative supplier is currently qualified** for the Kestrel unit.

Three candidates have been evaluated. All would require full qualification.

## Lead time

Qualification of a new supplier is assessed to take **nine months** from decision to approved first delivery, including pilot series and verification.

## Recommendation

A second source should be investigated again ahead of the next product generation. For the current program, Nordvind is the sole qualified source.
